About Angie Zeidenberg
My story is hardly unique. When my two children were young, I worked at home, resolving to be the perfect mother, wife, friend, volunteer, and so on. I threw my whole self into the pursuit of that goal, yet rarely felt like I was doing — or being — enough for myself, or others. So, in response, I embarked on what proved to be a refreshing path of more self-discovery, self-love and self-kindness.
Before becoming a health and wellness coach, I was a teacher and a school director for many years. As a life-long educator and learner, I became fascinated with the science-based practices to support the brain, mind and body wellness and emotional well-being for people of all ages.
I enjoy my work in schools, in homes, in outdoor settings and in the therapist office, where I work primarily with families. In my experience in education and wellness coaching, one common theme that seems to be essential in all of life’s situations, is the practice of self-kindness - the process of caring for each part of the whole self. This is the most important to me.
My children are now grown and living their own adventurous lives. I live in Bethesda with my husband and golden retriever. I spend a lot of time going on walks and hikes with them both, and with friends. I also enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, writing, learning, creating and exploring different neighborhoods around DC and wherever I visit.
